There's room for everybody on class trips, because there are no day-specific limitations on reservations
To ensure trouble-free fun, it's good to bear a few practical things in mind:
Check the opening hours
Linnanmäki's opening hours are restricted during the first two weeks in May. Opening hours also vary in September and October. Check the opening hours here.
SEA LIFE: Check the opening hours on SEA LIFE's website.
Buses and bus parking
In May, Linnanmäki's upper parking area is reserved for buses between 15th May- 2nd June. It's a good idea to equip the bus with the school's name, so that the pupils can easily find it.
Tickets and wristbands
Wristbands are personal. Only an intact wristband attached to the customer's wrist will be accepted. The wristband will activate as a day-long wristband when the customer gets on the first ride. When using ride tickets, one ticket per customer is used per ride. Check the up-to-date class trip price list here.
Class trip prices for wristbands are valid only when bought in advance. The most affordable way for class trip groups is to purchase the wristbands in advance in the Linnanmäki online store; the wristbands are then posted, or they can be picked up at the Linnanmäki online store pick-up desk. Class trip reservations for fewer than 15 people can be made by email firstname.lastname@example.org. Further information can also be obtained by telephone +358 10 572 2220. We are available on weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm. At other times, you can contact the Linnanmäki telephone exchange +358 10 572 2200.
For every 15 wristbands or food coupons purchased, we offer one product free of charge, so that it's easier for the group's teachers and guardians to participate in the group's activities in the park. The benefit applies to Linnanmäki wristbands and combination wristbands.
Wristbands are valid for the entire 2017 summer season, which means that the day of the visit can be changed if necessary. Likewise, wristbands that are left unused due to illness can be used later during the summer holiday, for example. If it's not possible to use a wristband later during the summer, it can be returned to the amusement park at the Jubilee Square pick-up desk.
At the online store, available payment methods are online bank and the most common payment cards. You can also order products on an invoice, in which case the products are posted, or they can be picked up at Linnanmäki as soon as the payment is registered on the Childrens' Day Foundation account. Check our delivery terms in more detail here.
City or municipality purchase commitment forms cannot be used to pay in the online store. You can make a class trip reservation by email (email@example.com) and pay using a purchase commitment form at the Linnanmäki pick-up desk in the Jubilee Square.
All Linnanmäki points of sale accept cash. Bank cards and credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, OK, Diners, Eurocard, MasterCard and American Express) are accepted in all points of sale except the games.
Meals are easily arranged with food coupons; each pupil can eat when and what they want, choosing from the available options.
Take busy periods into account
The last two weeks in May and the first week in June are the busiest times for class trips, due to which ticket sales, kiosks and rides may experience long queues.
First aid can be found at the Main Gate, beside Ukko. First aid is open observing the amusement park's opening hours. First aid doesn't offer medicines applied internally. Nappies can be bought from first aid. First aid services are free of charge. In case of an emergency, turn to the Linnanmäki staff.
Missing person calls
Missing person calls for pupils and teachers separated from the group can be made at the Info Desk. However, a clear time and place for meeting should be agreed with the group to avoid unnecessary missing person calls. The teacher and guardians should always be in the region covered by calls.
The gluten-free options on the food coupon are fries with sausages from a kiosk or falafel balls at restaurant Jarrumies. Food sales staff should be notified of food allergies, so that they can make the meals lactose-free or egg-free, for example, if necessary.
Storage of goods
Storage lockers can be found at both gates and at the foot of Raketti, beside Cafe Vanha Mylly coffee house. The lockers cost €2 and are operated using 2- and 1-euro and 50-cent coins. The sizes of the lockers are: 42 cm tall, 28 cm wide and 78 cm deep. Linnanmäki assumes no responsibility for property lost or broken on rides or in the amusement park area.
Name and address information
Bags, wallets and cameras should be marked with the owner's contact details – children included. It's recommended that smaller pupils carry a note with the name of the school and the teacher's contact details.
Lost and found
To enquire about any lost goods, turn to the Linnanmäki Info Desk during the amusement park's opening hours. Lost and found items are taken to the national Lost & Found Service every week. Contact information for Finland's Found Property Service: Mäkelänkatu 55, 00510 Helsinki. Tel. +358 (0) 600 41006 (€1.97/min+operator charge).
