Information about the park
Welcome to the most fun neighborhood in Helsinki!
Linnanmäki is Finland’s oldest and most popular amusement park, located in the Alppila district of Helsinki. The park features over 40 rides and a wide variety of games and food stalls.
The most beloved ride at Linnanmäki is the wooden Roller Coaster, which has delighted visitors since 1951. In the 2025 season, two exciting new family rides – Huristin and Keikutin – will open in July.
Linnanmäki is maintained and developed by the Children’s Day Foundation, which raises funds for child welfare work. Over the years, we have raised more than €130 million to support this cause. By enjoying a day at Linnanmäki, all guests contribute to important child protection efforts.
The Children’s Day Foundation was established by six child welfare organizations:
Central Union for Child Welfare, Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, Barnavårdsföreningen i Finland, Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters, Parasta Lapsille, and Save the Children Finland.
Arrival and Accessibility
Linnanmäki is located in the Alppiharju district of Helsinki. The Main Gate is at Tivolikuja 1, which is on the Alppila side. We recommend that you use public transportation in order to avoid traffic jams and to reduce harmful emissions.
Parking space around Linnanmäki is very limited, which is why we recommend using the convenient and affordable Park & Walk remote parking area. It is located about a 15-minute walk from the park and costs just €4 per day.
It’s important to us to ensure that all our guests have a successful visit to the most fun neighborhood in Helsinki.
safety and sustainability
Turvallisuus puistossa on kaikkien etu ja ehdottoman tärkeä osa huoletonta hupipäivää.
Let’s work together to make sure every visitor enjoys an unforgettable and fun day at the amusement park by following our shared park rules.
We aim to continuously improve our operations in line with the goals of our environmental management system, taking into account the needs of our guests, team members, and other stakeholders. During the 2025 season, all rides at Linnanmäki are powered by wind energy, and the park’s buildings are heated using renewable district heating.
the history of Linnanmäki
The history of Linnanmäki dates back to 1907, when Finland held its first Children’s Day events, inspired by the Swedish model. The events featured raffles, dances, and traveling circuses, all organized to raise funds for child welfare work

As Children’s Day activities expanded and amusement park operations began, the financial responsibilities grew—leading to the establishment of the Children’s Day Foundation.
In 1957, the foundation was founded by six child welfare organizations: the Central Union for Child Welfare, Barnavårdsföreningen i Finland, Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters, Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, Parasta Lapsille, and Save the Children Finland.
