Rides and the Health Condition of Guests
Customers’ height — and when necessary, age — are checked before entering the ride.
To make the boarding process as smooth as possible, it’s recommended to get a height stamp for your child from the ticket booth (located opposite the Kyöpelinvuori Hotel). This way, there is no need to measure the child separately at each ride; the stamp will show that the required height for the rides has been met.
Measurements are taken with shoes on.
In addition, for some rides, children of certain heights must be accompanied by a guardian who is at least 15 years old. Some rides also have age restrictions, in which case our ride operators will verify the child’s age before boarding. Please note that the guardian must also have a ticket or wristband if the child is taller than 100 cm.
One adult can accompany two children at the same time on the following rides:
Helikopteri, HipHop, Hurjakuru, Hypytin, Kahvikuppikaruselli, Karuselli, Kyöpelinvuoren Hotelli, Lohikäärme, Maisemajuna, Panoraama, Pilotti, Rekkaralli, Rinkeli, Rumpukaruselli, Taikasirkus, Vankkuripyörä, and Vuoristorata. On other rides, a guardian may accompany only one child at a time.
Be sure to also check out our popular Laitekummi (Attraction buddy) service.
A Ride Buddy can accompany a child on a few rides when a guardian cannot — or does not wish to — go on the rides themselves.
Rides and Visitor Health Conditions
In the more extreme rides, good health is required, and there are specific guidelines related to sitting posture due to the rides’ strong and sudden movements.
Supporting your neck and head against the backrest and holding on tightly is especially important in these rides to ensure safety. There are restrictions for people with physical disabilities or injuries (e.g., casts) on the more extreme rides. In some rides, safety restraints may limit access for larger-sized visitors. Certain rides are prohibited or not recommended for pregnant visitors.
Please familiarize yourself with the warnings and safety instructions for the amusement rides and carefully assess your own health condition when considering whether a ride is suitable for you. More detailed information about health-related restrictions can be found in the ride descriptions under the Rides section.
Photography on Rides
For safety reasons, filming is strictly prohibited on the following rides: Kehrä, Kingi, Kirnu, Linnunrata eXtra, Magia, Raketti, Salama, Swingi, Taiga, and Ukko. On other rides, action cameras may be used, provided they are securely fastened in a way that eliminates any risk of falling.
On rides that move at a slower pace, handheld filming is allowed as long as it does not pose any danger.
