The magical Carnival of Lights marks the grand finale of Linnanmäki’s Fun Season from 9 to 18 October.

The Carnival of Lights pre-party

This Fun Season marks the 20th anniversary of the Carnival of Lights. To celebrate, the event opens on Friday, 9 October 2026 with a special adults-only pre-party night. The evening invites friends, colleagues, and teams to enjoy a fun evening under the glow of lights. The atmosphere is perfectly relaxed for romantic date nights as the park radiates autumn magic. The evening’s headline performer is the brilliant Maija Vilkkumaa.

The magic of the Carnival of Lights

The Carnival of Lights takes place at Linnanmäki daily from Friday, 9 October to Sunday, 18 October. From Saturday, 10 October onwards, the event is open to visitors of all ages. Families, groups of friends, and first-time visitors alike can enjoy the glowing atmosphere. The Carnival of Lights is also a perfect autumn holiday experience, as the darkening evenings invite you to explore the park in its magical lighting.

During the Carnival of Lights, Vuoristorata will feature a spectacular light art installation created by projection artist Max Lapinsuo-Sylwén, whose work has previously been seen at the LUX Helsinki light festival.
